boardwalk
went to the boardwalk after church
it was cold and windy and i had no real coat
(i did have a scarf though)
it was dark and the waves were loud and sparkly and splashing
there were stars, bright even in the city sky
and i sat at the end of a dock and the water crashed around me and the stars shone out of darkness and the noisy world faded away and there was quiet.
